Hatty Goody, cello
Biography: Hatty grew up in Devon and has had a keen interest in music from a young age. She was awarded a music scholarship to Blundell’s School where she completed her A levels. She was given the opportunity to perform as a concerto soloist with an orchestra here as well. Between A levels and university, she worked for a year in a prep school assisting in the music department.
Having now graduated from university, Hatty has had extensive performing opportunities, including master classes with Julian Lloyd-Webber and Natalie Clein, recording sessions in Dean Street Studios, and solo performances with the university and the local music scene. Hatty has also been booked for several professional public and private events as a soloist and as a member of an ensemble.
Hatty is a versatile instrumentalist who is able to cater for a variety of events and occasions. She is happy to play unaccompanied, but when the occasion calls for it, Neville Bharucha can step in and provide accompaniment. Repertoire can be tailored to the needs of the event and client. With experience in recording and playing with singers, she is also able to improvise and play by ear.
